Monday, February 13th 2017 will mark the fourth annual Family Day holiday in BC. While it’s easy to take this stat as another day off to run errands or clean the house, why not take the opportunity to spend time with your family and make a fun day out of it?! Here are 4 activities happening locally around town in Coquitlam and Langley to get the ball rolling.

This FREE indoor, kid-friendly event taking place on Family Day will feature fun activities, demonstrations, exhibits, and more to encourage kids to embrace sports and active living! Create your own T- Shirt Design with the help of a Professional T-Shirt Art designer, and engage in the featured art project based based on the collection of “Hockey Kids” paintings by the Famous hockey Player Richard Brodeur! Plus enjoy giveaways and contests, face painting, entertainment performances and more!

Fort Langley National Historic Site: 23433 Mavis Ave, Langley
Step away from technology and spend Family Day having good, old-fashioned fun at the fort! Starting at 10:30 am, put your kids to work, the old-fashioned way, with 19th century family chores. Afterwards, watch blacksmith demonstrations, coopering demonstrations and earn a prize by completing our family scavenger hunt.
